4 Fun Themes for the Baby Boy Room

If you’re looking to decorate a boy’s nursery, first of all, congratulations! Second, we know how nerve-racking it is to design a baby boy room since it’ll play a big part in shaping your son’s personality – it will be most of what he sees for a couple of years, after all – so we’re here to help you through it.

It’s not really necessary to have a specific theme for the nursery, and you could have satisfying results without one, but many parents find it easier to have a central idea around which they create a fun theme for the baby boy room.

1. Fictional Land

Boys of all ages love comic books and fictional tales. Being surrounded by fiction from young age can help develop your child’s creativity and imagination. You can build your nursery around a super hero theme like Superman, Batman, Captain America, etc., or turn it into an imaginary land like Hogwarts or Narnia.

2. Pedal to the Metal

Have you ever seen those beds shaped like cars? Don’t you remember how used to transform your mum’s living room couches into your imaginary racing car when you were young?  Give your son the pleasure of imagining he’s racing in his car while he falls asleep! You can also include all types of vehicles – trains, planes, bikes; it will definitely be a fun environment for him to grow up and play in.

3. Nature Boy

If you want your son to grow up to be an adventurer, someone who is deeply connected to the Earth and to nature, you have to plant that love in his heart at a young age. Paint some trees on the walls, turn the ceiling into a beautiful night’s sky, and have a woody feel to the furniture, and your son will grow up to be quite the outdoorsman.

4. Le Petit Artiste

You can have nice harmony in your baby boy’s room without sticking to a particular theme. The art umbrella is a vast one, and you can get as creative as you like. Paint a large mural on the wall, fill the walls with quirky illustrations, or even dedicate one of the walls for Polaroid pictures of your family that you keep updating until he’s all grown up.
